House Shout 2019

Oct 10, 2019

The House Music Competition, affectionately known by all at Hurst as the ‘House Shout’ takes place annually just before October half term, this year on Thursday 17th Oct at 1830. It is the only competition in the entire school where all pupils take part and the whole school forms the audience. Each house has to provide an ensemble which is usually 4 or 5 players and singers and then the whole house sings a song. A guest adjudicator is then invited to choose a winner from the twelve houses at Hurst.

The evening itself is full of warmth, pride, humour and enjoyment and few can forget it from their own Hurst experience. This is such a special event that, two years ago, we streamed the event live on YouTube for the first time. Last year our online audience got bigger and this year we will be streaming the event live on the Hurstpierpoint College YouTube Channel. (Please note this is a live stream event only and any link to the video will be removed as soon as the competition itself has finished.)

Next Thursday logon into your Hurst Connect account for the YouTube link and you will also have the option to vote for your favourite House Shout.

Floreat Hurst!
