It is with great sadness we announce the death of Keith Jenkin. Keith passed away on 23.03.2020. He was a student at Hurst from September 1943-April 1950 and was a member of Fleur De Lys House. He was a Prefect, House Captain and School Captain.
He was Head Chorister and in this illustration from 1949 Keith is leading our choir at Boar’s Head Feast.
Words from The Hon Sec of OHJ Golfing Society
Keith was not only Head Boy at Hurst but a very capable sportsman. He was an excellent cricketer, both with the bat and the ball. He played in many Cricket Weeks and I believe he was the top run scorer and until recently, top wicket-taker. He and Judy both attended the Cricket Week Centenary Dinner at Lord’s last month.
He was a Past President of our Society and a member for many years playing in many Hewitts and was a former member at one of our favourite venues, West Sussex. Latterly, he played his golf at Porters Park GC in Radlett.
Keith will be much missed in both our golf and cricket circles as he was a true colossus in OJ sport.
