Crescent House Reunion – Celebrating 20 Years of Friendship and Hurst Spirit

On Saturday 6th September, we were delighted to welcome back former Crescent House pupils and staff to celebrate 20 years since the founding of Crescent House at Hurst. The reunion was a joyful and relaxed occasion, filled with laughter, memories, and a strong sense of community.

The day began with a tour of the College and houses, giving OJs a chance to revisit familiar spaces and see how the school has evolved. A particular highlight was the opportunity to be among the first to view the brand-new swimming pool — a stunning addition to the campus that left many impressed by the continued investment in Hurst’s facilities.

From there, the group headed over to Eastfield to cheer on the 1st XV in a fiercely contested match against long-standing rivals Brighton College. The boys played with heart and determination, and although they were just pipped at the post, their performance was nothing short of spectacular. The energy from the sidelines was electric, with Crescent OJs proudly supporting the team and reminiscing about their own days on the pitch.

The afternoon concluded with a relaxed BBQ on Chevron Lawns, where old friends reconnected over delicious food and shared stories from their time at Hurst. It was a fitting end to a day that celebrated not just Crescent House, but the enduring friendships and values that define the Hurst experience.

We were thrilled to host this special milestone and look forward to many more Crescent reunions in the future. Thank you to everyone who joined us — your presence made the day truly memorable.
