The Hurst 175th Bursary Appeal
Nathaniel Woodard was an educator and visionary who recognised the importance of education and service, regardless of background. He established Hurstpierpoint College to provide a transformative education for its students, setting them on paths that would have been inconceivable without such an opportunity. It is his vision of looking ahead that we seek to continue.
At Hurst we are committed to broadening educational access by offering means-tested financial support.
Hurst's 175th Bursary Appeal aims to provides one full five-year bursary for a day pupil entering Hurst in Year 9 in September 2025. In our 175th year, our goal is to raise £175,000. This campaign, launched at the 175th Anniversary Dinner in October 2024, heralds the start of a new approach to the Foundation at Hurst, where we are looking to develop a culture of philanthropy that will enable children who would be otherwise unable to access a Hurst education the opportunity to do so.
