Sport has been part of Hurst life since the College's earliest days, and two societies carry that history on: the Old Hurst Johnian Golf Society and the OJ Cricket Society. Both welcome players of every standard, and both offer a chance to represent Hurst, reconnect with old friends, and take on some of the finest sporting institutions in the country.

The Golf Society competes across the public schools golfing circuit, including the Halford Hewitt at Royal St George's and Royal Cinque Ports, one of the oldest and most prestigious amateur team events in the world. Visit the Golf Society's website to find out more and get involved.

The Cricket Society is built around Cricket Week, held each August on Hurst's North Field, a fixture that has run for over a century and remains one of the biggest social events in the OJ calendar. Each society is run by its own organiser and welcomes new members throughout the year.
