The Royal Oak in Wineham is as traditional a British pub as you are ever likely to find. Beers and Ales poured from the cask compliment a fantastic selection of wines and great pub food. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the locals are always willing to chat and get to know new visitors.  The pub has operated since the late 1700s but the building itself goes way back to the 1400s. Many of the original features are still in place and many an evening has been spent encouraging visitors to imagine what a contraption on a shelf was used for or how old the table they are sat at is.
