House of Commons reception to celebrate 30 years of co-education at Hurst
This year marks a transformational milestone in Hurst’s history - it will be 30 years since girls first joined the College, paving the way for the fully co-educational community we are now.
To celebrate this incredible journey and the instrumental role co-education has played in Hurst’s success, we invite all alumni, past and present staff, and parents to join us for a special evening on the terrace of the House of Commons for a networking and celebration event. We are grateful to Mims Davies MP who has helped us to facilitate this occasion.
This event is made extra special as it takes place during International Women’s Day week – a perfect time to honour the trailblazing women who helped shape Hurst’s history and continue to inspire future generations.
Event Highlights
This event is designed to celebrate female trailblazers and strengthen the connections that make our Hurst community so extraordinary. In addition to celebrating coeducation at Hurst, this will be:
- A rare opportunity to gather on the Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons
- An opportunity to network with OJs and industry leaders
- A chance to listen to inspiring guest speakers - including leading female politicians - and reflections on the remarkable careers and businesses led by Hurst Girls.

Sponsorship Opportunity
We’re so proud to have ToucanTech as a sponsor and guest speaker for this event. Founded in 2014 by entrepreneurial duo Kate and Sian, ToucanTech began with a vision to create a better-connected community platform for the education sector. As a female-led start-up, their story is a testament to innovation and perseverance, and we look forward to them sharing their journey as guest speakers at the event.
We want this event to be free for all pupils attending, ensuring everyone can access this incredible opportunity. To achieve this, we are seeking a co-sponsor for the event.
Benefits of co-sponsorship include:
- Brand visibility at the event and across all promotional materials
- Recognition in Hurst Foundation communications and social media
- Networking access with alumni, parents, and industry leaders
- Association with a landmark initiative promoting female empowerment and education
If you are interested in co-sponsoring please get in touch with our Director of Foundation, Gareth Doodes on gareth.doodes@hppc.co.uk
As with all our events, we will be taking photos at this Foundation event. These images will be used by Hurstpierpoint College to share news about the Foundation, and to publicise our future events. Images may be used in press releases, social media, printed publicity, and published on the College’s website. They will be stored securely, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes. We may also share photos with other OJs for their personal use. If you would prefer for you or your child not to be photographed, please email us at hurstfoundation@hppc.co.uk
