As part of our celebrations marking 30 Years of Girls and Co‑Education at Hurst, the College is enhancing its historical archive with a special collection dedicated to the experiences of Hurst’s girls since the early 1990s. We are inviting alumnae to contribute personal items, memories and mementos to help us tell this important story.
Since the arrival of the first girls, co‑education has become a defining element of life at Hurst. Yet many of the most meaningful moments — the friendships, challenges, achievements and everyday experiences — live only in the memories of those who were there. By collecting items from our female alumnae, we aim to capture these stories for future generations and preserve the legacy of this transformative period.
We warmly welcome donations of:
• Uniform items and sports kit
• Exercise books, planners and academic work
• Photographs, house memorabilia and certificates
• Programmes from concerts, plays and sports fixtures
• Letters home or personal reflections
• Hurst magazines, newsletters, and prospectuses
• Any keepsakes that reflect school life at the time
These materials will support exhibitions, future displays, anniversary projects and educational resources, helping us to build a fuller picture of school life through the eyes of the girls who shaped it.
If you would like to donate an item or share a memory with the Hurst Archive, please contact the Foundation Office via hurstfoundation@hppc.co.uk
We would be delighted to discuss your contribution and ensure it is preserved appropriately.
Together, let’s celebrate the remarkable journey of girls at Hurst — and preserve their stories for the next generation.
