Who We Are
Aoife joined the Hurst Foundation in April 2026 and has quickly made her mark, building strong relationships with alumni and Foundation members alike. Hailing from Nottinghamshire by way of Ireland and Sussex, she works alongside Gareth and brings a personal connection to Hurst through her partner, who was a member of the Red Cross.
Having worked in a number of schools before joining Hurst, Aoife is now central to the Foundation’s philanthropic mission, working with donors, organising events and reunions, and collaborating closely with the wider Foundation team.
Gareth joined the Hurst Foundation in September 2026, tasked with building a fundraising arm on top of an already highly successful alumni engagement operation. In the years since, the Foundation has grown to encompass legacies, regular giving, and significant bursarial and capital donations, work that both widens access to Hurst and enriches the experience of those studying here.
With over 25 years in schools, from teacher to Headmaster, Gareth is passionate about improving access to education and building communities and engagement that last a lifetime.
