The aim of the archive is to be a point of contact for information for family researchers, authors and social historians in addition to enquiries about Old Johnians. It also is a place to make our college story an accessible resource for staff as well as to engage with OJs and those who have left Hurst to help celebrate our traditions and anniversaries. It is important to enable current students to connect to the rich heritage of their school and provide ideas and characters from our history for their projects, plays and films.
Mary-Louise Rowland
School Archivist
I have been at Hurst since 2002 and supervised the Archives moving to its current purpose built location above the new academic quad in 2016. Since then it has been my privilege and pleasure to be given the space and opportunity to reorganise, restore and care for our unique collection. I welcome memorabilia, artefacts, uniforms and recordings especially Cine and video, but also photographs and personal memories - written or verbal , short or long. You can contact me on archives@hppc.co.uk
