The formal opening of St John's House took place on 5th March 1992. The House had welcomed the first boys through its doors earlier that year, in the January, with David Clark (seen here with his wife, Jean) as the first Housemaster.
The Hurst Johnian magazine of 1992 featured an article outlining the decision making process behind the building of the new House, the need for which was first identified in 1988, and also the address given by the then Headmaster, Simon Watson.
