Hugo has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 420 European Championships to be held in Vilamoura, Portugal in July, and at the 420 World Championships to be held in Lake Balaton, Hungary in August. The selection series comprised of 29 races across 3 selection events at different venues over the Spring - Hugo secured selection by finishing the series in 3rd place in the U19 category.

During the Easter holidays, there was also the RYA Youth Nationals held in Pwllheli, Wales where Hugo again secured a podium finishing 3rd in the male U21 category, after a week of very intense and close racing. Once GSCEs are finished, the upcoming Summer holidays will be very busy with not only training and competing at these major championships, but also at the French 420 Nationals in Brest, the RS200 Nationals in Hayling Island, and the 420 Nationals in Lymington.

Huge congratulations Hugo from all at Hurst!
