Following the successful expansion and enhancements to Eagle House over the Summer of 2023, we have now focused our attention on developing the central courtyard. The area has been sensitively landscaped to help soften the feel of the surrounding boarding wings, and bring some natural habitat into the heart of the house. Strategically placed trees and shrubs will break up the vision lines between opposing bedrooms, whilst the resin and astroturf surfaces provide year round accessibility. Modern circular seating areas will also exist amongst additional breakout spaces for small outdoor games and socialising. With direct access via the large patio doors off the social room, Mr Hopcroft and the boys are really looking forward to fully utilising the space once the weather improves.
Construction works are now well underway for the new Swimming Pool. The 99 piles, (13m deep) have been driven, and the ground beams and concrete added which will support the entire structure. Meanwhile, Miller Bourne, the architects are detailing the interior and exterior facades, working alongside the rest of the design teams to deliver what promises to be a superb facility.
