The annual OJs vs the UVI Cricket Match -

The annual T20 match between the OJs and the school's 1st XI was played on a sunny day, in the lead up to the recent half term break.

All credit goes to the OJs who won by 2 runs! Notable scores included Joe Willis (92 runs) (Crescent - 2022) and Josh Gander (4 wkts) (Chevron - 2020)

The OJs who took part included: Rob Willsdon (Chevron - 1993 and also a current parent with two boys at the school); Dan Armitage (Chevron - 1993); Bertie Foremen (Crescent - 2022 and former 1st XI captain); Joe Gilligan (Crescent - 2017); Henry Rogers (Crescent - 2024) who has been signed with Sussex and played for England U19;s, Joe Willis (Crescent - 2022); Ed Fairfax (Woodard - 2017); Alfie Haines (Woodard - 2024) whose brother, Tom, plays for Sussex;  Ellis Buckeridge (Woodard - 2024); Elliott Middleton (Woodard - 2022) who is currently working here at Hurst on a Maths Teaching placement; Sam Green (Star - 2023); , Benji Jackson (Red Cross - 2023) and Josh Gander (Chevron - 2020)

The game was umpired by no other than Chris Gray, former master i/c Cricket and Housemaster of Star.

Al in all, it was a great game and much enjoyed by the staff, OJ and parent spectators.
