The generations unite over tea - pupils and OJs share schoolday stories

As part of our 175th Anniversary celebrations, we were delighted to welcome a group of Old Johnians (OJs) back to Hurst for a special event in the Prep School. Over tea and cakes, the OJs shared their experiences and memories of school life with our current pupils, creating a unique and enriching connection between generations and offering our younger pupils a fascinating glimpse into Hurst’s past.

For our pupils, it was an eye-opening experience, sparking conversations about how school life has changed and what remains constant. For the OJs, it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling their own days at Hurst.

We are deeply grateful to the OJs who took the time to return and share their stories, helping to foster a strong sense of continuity and connection within our College community.
