November's OJ of the Month

Who better than Jemima Spence (Pelican – 2024) to be November's OOTM? Jemima, who plays for Kent & South East Stars, has just been selected for the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia.

She enjoyed a fantastic 2023 with the bat for the Stars Academy and was the leading run-scorer in the Regional Academy Friendlies. This year she has struggled with an ACL injury requiring a lengthy rehabilitation process, meaning she had to miss the entire cricket season. But she is now returning to full fitness and is looking forward to fulfilling her lifelong dream of playing for England.

Sixteen teams from around the world will take part in the 41-match event where the future stars of women’s cricket will announce themselves over 15 days of competition from 18 January to 2 February 2025.

The competing teams will be split into four groups of four teams each. India is the defending champion and plays in Group A against the West Indies, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. England meanwhile is in Group B with Ireland, Pakistan and the USA with matches taking place in Johor, Malaysia.

We are rooting for you Jemima!
