We were delighted to welcome back Charles Blackith (Star, 2022) as part of our Entrepreneur Speaker Series this week. Charles shared his journey of founding CofiLab Media, a company specializing in Web Design, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and Google Ads for small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
During his time at Hurst, Charles studied A-level Business, Economics, and Sociology, and undertook an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) titled: ‘What is the most significant factor in determining the success of a business during the COVID-19 pandemic and going forward.’ His studies clearly inspired his passion for business and entrepreneurship.
Since leaving Hurst, Charles has continued to build on this foundation, taking part in the prestigious University of Oxford Entrepreneurship: Venture Creation Programme, which equips participants with the skills to turn ideas into successful ventures. In October 2022, at just 19 years old, Charles launched CofiLab Media. Alongside running his company, he works full-time as a Google Ads Executive for PMW Marketing.
Inviting alumni like Charles back to speak with our students not only highlights the diverse opportunities available after Hurst but also provides an invaluable opportunity for students to learn first-hand about the realities of starting and running a business. Charles’ candid insights into his entrepreneurial journey and his expertise in digital marketing gave our Sixth Form students a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in the ever-evolving business landscape.
We are grateful to Charles for sharing his time, experiences, and knowledge with our students. Opportunities like this underscore the value of our thriving alumni network in inspiring and guiding the next generation.
