Due to collaborative work with Durham University, the college Archives are happy to supply a 20% discount code for the Hurst Foundation Community to take part in a time-travelling culinary journey back to a 13th-century Christmas with Blackfriars Restaurant.
The three-day virtual cookery course, which will take place from 14-16 December, will be entitled ‘A Taste of Christmas Past’ and follows on from the worldwide-success of their inaugural course, A Taste of the Past. You will be introduced recipes for venison, goose, and partridge, sweet treats, and subtleties for the table, clary – a type of spiced wine, and a boar’s head (an important tradition of Hurst college which is still celebrated today!).
To help celebrate a traditional Christmas and reminisce about the traditions of the Boars Head Feast use code 'ZINZIBERDURHAM' and recieve 20% off the ticket price which can be bought here.
