On 19th November 2025, Hurst College marked a century of rugby with an unforgettable day at Richmond Athletic Ground. To honour this milestone, we welcomed Rugby School — the home of rugby — for two thrilling matches and a celebration to match.
The day began with a fantastic team lunch, bringing together pupils, parents, staff, Old Hurst Johnians, and Old Rugbeians. Spectators then enjoyed two outstanding games:
Old Hurst Johnians vs Old Rugbeians – Hurst OJs claimed a decisive 36–12 victory.
Hurst 1st XV vs Rugby School 1st XV – A nail-biting contest saw Hurst edge ahead in the final moments to win 22–20.
Two wins, countless memories, and a centenary celebrated in true Hurst style.
